Comparison – RX350 vs SRX Model Diffrences

Overall Design

RX models are more elegantly designed, with a smoother shape and style, while the 2010 SRX has been redesigned as a smaller, more “RX sized” model without third-row seating that has an angular, aggressive appearance.

Exterior Paint

•Initial observations were that the build quality of the SRX was not as high as the RX; for example, exterior paint quality and fit and finish were areas of concern.

Engine Options

•RX models are powered by 3.5 liter V6 engines, while the SRX currently has a 3.0 liter V6 and an optional 2.8 liter V6 turbo engine.
RX offers a hybrid option for increased fuel economy and lower emissions. Cadillac does not offer.

Suspension

•SRX offers sporty ride and handling, while the RX drives more comfortably and quieter, with good handling due to the “double wishbone” designed rear suspension.

Interior

•The SRX interior has opted for a more RX favored design, with large front seats, and a rear seat cup holder that mimics the RX’s, however, RX rear seat comfort is superior.

Entertainment

•Ergonomically, RX models display thoughtful placement and intuitive use of features and controls, exemplified by the exclusive Remote Touch controller, which is widely received enthusiastically by guests for it’s intuitive ease of use.

•SRX has non-intuitive location for the door unlock switch for the driver and non tilt-adjustable pop-up Navigation screen.

•RX models have been the industry leader in sales since it “created” the mid-size crossover segment in 1999, and is by far the best selling Lexus model.
